Violent 2-Car Crash on Highway 246 Sends 3 to Hospital [Santa Ynez, CA]

Santa Ynez, CA (November 14, 2023) On Monday evening, 4 women were hurt after a 2-car crash on Highway 246.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the 2-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Cuesta Street and Highway 246.

Reports say that 2 vehicles were involved in a traffic collision, one vehicle had a lone occupant and required extraction and was transported with major injuries via helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Meanwhile, the other vehicle had 3 occupants, 1 suffered minor injuries and did not require transport, while the 2 other women ad moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to Santa Ynez Valley Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the probable cause of the 2-car crash and have not released further information at this time.
