2-Car Accident on Altamont Pass Road [Livermore, CA]

1 Person Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Greenville Road

 
LIVERMORE, CA (December 11, 2018) – Two vehicles were involved in an accident on Altamont Pass Road. The identity of the drivers have yet to be released to the public.
 
First responders were at the scene around 6:00 AM, near Greenville Road, shortly after the crash. Events leading up to the collision are unclear at this time. It is unknown how many people were injured and their current medical statuses.
 
According to officials, a fog advisory was issued nearby, on Interstate 580. There was heavy fog at the time of the crash, which may have caused visibility issues. The road was closed down for a few hours, while clearing operations and preliminary investigation took place in the area.
 
It is unknown if alcohol and drugs were contributing factors in the accident. No further details have been disclosed, as the investigation continues.
