2 Killed in Chatsworth Bicycle Crash on Lurline Avenue
CHATSWORTH, CA (January 6, 2022) – Tuesday night, two bicyclists died after a hit-and-run accident on Lurline Avenue.
According to Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Mike Lopez, the incident happened at around 7:14 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the 9500 block of Lurline Avenue.
Reports revealed that a red truck struck two bicyclists then fled the scene without stopping. Moments later, the hit-and-run vehicle crashed into a wall at the corner of De Soto Avenue and Knapp Street. This happened a half-mile from the scene of the crash.
Moreover, officials confirmed that the two bicyclists, a man, and a woman, died in the crash.
Furthermore, authorities arrested the hit-and-run driver who was awaiting charges.
