Edgar Ceballos and Evelyn Castro Arrested after DUI Crash on Tawny Lane in Turlock

Turlock, CA (April 8, 2023) – Early Wednesday, 22-year-old Edgar Ceballos and 19-year-old Evelyn Castro were arrested in a DUI crash on Tawny Lane.

The crash on Tawny Lane in Turlock happened around 2:57 am on April 5 in the 1100 block of Tawny Lane.

Turlock Police said the crash involved a 2017 Toyota Yaris and a tan 1992 Chevrolet GMT400.

Reportedly, Ceballos of Turlock and Castro of Los Angeles were the two occupants of Yaris while the tan GMT400 had been parked and unoccupied. Ceballos was uninjured; however, Castro suffered minor injuries.

Investigators said Ceballos and Casto were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Both Ceballos and Castro were transported to a local hospital where they were medically cleared.

Afterward, they were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, Ceballos, on charges of driving under alcohol and causing bodily injury to another person.

Although the cause of the crash is unknown, the Yaris hit a stop sign and a tan GMT400 before climbing a curb, entering a front yard, and colliding with a house retaining wall.
