2 Airlifted in Missouri Route 8 Collision [Francois County, MO]

Francis County, MO (December 22, 2024) – People were injured following a Missouri Route 8 collision Wednesday afternoon.

It was around 4:14 p.m. on December 18 when the two-vehicle crash happened at the west exit.

Troopers said a 1995 Mazda Protege was slowing down to make a left turn. 

However, a 2011 Ford F350 driver was reportedly inattentive and rear-ended the Mazda.

The 66-year-old driver and a 67-year-old passenger of the Mazda sustained serious injuries. The rescuers airlifted them to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

Moreover, a 9 and a 12-year-old who were riding the Ford received minor injuries. They were taken to Parkland Hospital in Farmington.

MSHP said the Ford driver and the 12-year-old passenger were wearing safety devices during the crash.
