2 Airlifted in High-Speed Crash on 40 Freeway at West Broadway Street [NEEDLES, CA]

Speeding Car Overturns on 40 Freeway in Needles, Major Injuries Sustained

 
NEEDLES, CA (June 3 , 2019) – At least two people were airlifted following a high-speed crash Monday night in Needles.
 
The crash happened around 6:09 p.m. on westbound 40 Freeway at West Broadway Street off-ramp.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Jeep was speeding when it overturned about 50 feet off the roadway and down an embankment.
 
Responding firefighters found major injuries as a result of the crash. Two air ambulance were dispatched to the scene to transport at least two patients to a hospital.
 
The full circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
