HESPERIA, CA (March 27, 2022) – Early Saturday, two people suffered injuries in a semi crash on Interstate 15 near Main Street.
 
The crash occurred at around 1:46 a.m. when a semi crashed into another semi. Moreover, it happened on southbound Interstate 15 near the Main Street overpass.
 
According to reports, a tractor-trailer combination traveled at an unknown speed. Then, it crashed into the back of the semi, leaving two people trapped.
 
When the San Bernardino County Firefighters arrived on the scene, they found two critical patients requiring extrication. Thus, they called for two helicopters to land at Bishop Avenue and Poplar Street, east US Highway 395.
 
Then, Mercy 66 transported one of the injured to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Then, Mercy 22 flew the other to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
 
Moreover, the driver of the other semi suffered no injuries.
 
Also, Caltrans responded to around 30 gallons of diesel and oil in the roadway.
 
Moreover, California Highway Patrol officers initiated a traffic break just north of Bear Valley Road that lasted about 10 minutes.
