 Deadly Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Antelope Boulevard Kills Woman [Red Bluff, CA]

61-Year-Old Woman Killed in Highway 36 Fatal Crash

Red Bluff, CA (December 5, 2023) On Sunday evening, a 61-year-old female was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on Antelope Boulevard near the Slough Bridge.

According to the Red Bluff Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 8:37 p.m. on Highway 36 (Antelope Boulevard) east of Interstate 5.

Reports say that first responders found the female pedestrian laying in the eastbound lane of Antelope Boulevard, medics attempted to save the woman’s life but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on scene by paramedics.

Authorities say that an eastbound 1988 Chevrolet van, driven by a 56-year-old Red Bluff man, struck the woman crossing the road.

Officials say that the driver was not able to avoid colliding with her. The driver stayed at the scene and was determined to be operating the vehicle with a suspended or revoked license at the time of the collision.

An investigation is ongoing.
