18-Year-Old Pedestrian Injured in Collision on Camino Ruiz [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (October 19, 2023) – An 18-year-old pedestrian was injured following a traffic collision on Camino Ruiz Wednesday.

It was before noon when a 27-year-old man driving a 2017 Fiat Spider lost control while turning left from southbound Camino Ruiz onto eastbound Mira Mesa Boulevard.

As a result, the vehicle fishtailed and jumped a curb and struck the pedestrian. The vehicle then crashed into a bench at a Metropolitan Transit System bus stop.

Immediately, the medical team rushed the victim to a hospital with serious injury to her right leg.

The authorities are still investigating this traffic accident.
