Driver Dies in a Car Crash on Highway 99 near Merritt Drive in Traver
Kingsburg, CA (April 12, 2020) – On Wednesday night, the California Highway Patrol confirmed a driver was killed in a car crash on Highway 99 in Kingsburg, Fresno.
The report said that the incident took place on April 8 on Highway 99 near Merritt Drive at about 7:45 p.m.
The 18-year old man drove a truck within the northbound lanes on the highway when his tire suddenly blew out.
The driver then pulled over and examined his vehicle.
Consequently, a UPS truck drove by and struck the driver near Merritt drive.
Due to the impact of the crash, the driver was later pronounced dead.
Moreover, the UPS truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Police say the UPS driver was neither impaired nor intoxicated before the collision.
The identity of the driver who passed in the crash on Highway 99 is still unknown.
