Smoke Tree Avenue Pedestrian Accident Sends Two to Hospital

Oak Park, CA (September 13, 2022) – On Sunday evening, two 17-year-old girls from Oak Park sustained injuries in a Kanan Road accident.

The authorities received the accident report at about 7:52 p.m. at the intersection with Smoke Tree Avenue.

According to the police, the girls were struck by a 71-year-old Palmdale woman who ran a red light. The woman was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry at about 40 mph.

Immediately, the paramedics rushed the two pedestrians to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The driver, on the other hand, did not incur injuries from the accident. She remained at the scene and was not arrested.

Officers say they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the Smoke Tree Avenue pedestrian accident.
