16-Year-Old Boy Injured in Pedestrian Accident on South Flores Street [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (June 24, 2023) – At about 10 p.m. on Thursday, a 16-year-old boy sustained injuries following a pedestrian accident on South Flores Street.

The traffic accident took place in the 6300 block area not far from East Southcross and Southwest Military Drive.

The authorities said the victim run out onto the street and was walking westbound when he was struck by a southbound black 2010 Ford Focus. Officers said the nearest marked crosswalk was approximately 200 feet away.

The teenager incurred life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in critical condition.

SAPD said the sedan driver stopped and rendered aid. Officers are investigating the accident.
