Police Investigate a Bike VS Truck Crash on Highway 246 in Buellton
Buellton, CA (July 22, 2021) – Thursday night, a 16-year-old boy riding a minibike sustained injuries after his bike crashed with a truck on Highway 246.
The crash in Buellton happened shortly before 7 p.m. on July 22, in the area of Highway 246 and Sycamore Drive.
Reportedly, a small truck traveling on Highway 246 struck the boy and the bike.
As a result, the rider sustained non-life-threatening but major injuries and was transported in an American Medical Response ambulance to the Santa Ynez Airport. Subsequently, the Calstar helicopter then transported the patient to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The California Highway Patrol’s Buellton area office is still investigating the incident.
