1 Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 26, 2019) – A 15-year-old girl sustained a fractured right leg after being hit by an SUV on February 23.
The incident was reported at 6:37 p.m. on Palm Avenue and Saturn Boulevard, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims revealed.
According to Heims, a 35-year-old male driver of a black 2018 Jeep was traveling west on Palm Avenue. After that, the Jeep was approaching Saturn Boulevard when a pedestrian ran from the middle island. The pedestrian was attempting to reach the north side of the street.
“She ran into the path of the Jeep and was struck,” Heims said. The incident left the girl with a fractured right femur.
Alcohol was ruled out as a factor in the collision.
