PORTERVILLE, CA (October 24, 2018) – A girl was killed Wednesday afternoon following a bicycle crash on Road 256. The identity of the 15-year-old victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 3:00 PM. The bicyclist was heading east on Avenue 88 when she failed to stop at the stop sign. Her bicycle entered the intersection, where she was struck by a 2005 GMC.
