Teen Hurt in Van-Bicycle Collision on Gonzales Road
Oxnard, CA (July 20, 2022) On Tuesday evening, a 14-year-old bicycle rider was seriously hurt after a van crashed into his bicycle at Williams Drive.
According to the Oxnard Police Department (OPD), the van-bicycle collision happened around 8:12 p.m. on Gonzales Road.
Reports say that the bicyclist suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition.
Police say that a 19-year-old Oxnard driver was on the northbound 2021 Dodge Ram Van that struck the bicyclist.
Moreover, the teenage driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials.
Furthermore, police say that speed or impairment are not factors in the crash.
Paramedics transported the 14-year-old to the Ventura County Medical Center.
