1 Injured in Thermal Pedestrian Accident
THERMAL, CA (February 3, 2020) – A 14-year-old high school student sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Avenue 70.
According to reports, a car at a school bus stop struck the Desert Mirage High School female student. A helicopter flew her to an area hospital. The crash occurred on the 88700 block of Avenue 70 at 6:11 a.m.
The pedestrian suffered moderate injuries in the collision.
Dr. Maria Gandera, Coachella Valley Unified School District Superintendent clarified that the vehicle involved was a car, not a bus.
The helicopter took the girl to a hospital in Moreno Valley.
