Injuries Reported in San Francisco Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 280 and Ocean Avenue

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 24, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a pileup crash on Interstate 280 and Ocean Avenue involved eleven cars.

According to reports, the crash has been “caused by people driving too fast with the sun in their eyes.” Moreover, it happened at 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 280 northbound, south of Ocean Avenue.

“Daylight savings time just started, so the sun is in a different place in the sky than it was during your commute a couple of weeks ago,” CHP said. “Please make sure you are driving at a safe speed and that both you and your vehicle are prepared for changing conditions no matter what the weather is outside.”

Reports confirmed that the incident led to minor injuries.

Due to the limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.

As a driver, it is your responsibility to be a proactive driver, rather than a reactive one. Moreover, driving defensively prepares you for emergencies.
