Child Sustained Injuries after Coalinga Pedestrian Accident on Elm Avenue
COALINGA, CA (September 5, 2019) – A 10-year-old girl suffered injuries after a pedestrian accident on Elm Avenue on Tuesday, September 3.
According to Coalinga Police, shortly after 4 p.m., the child tried to cross the street in a crosswalk at the intersection of Elm and Fifth Street. Then a vehicle that stopped at the stop sign drove forward before the girl was out of the road and struck her.
Paramedics rushed the girl to Community Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.
Police are investigating the crash and there were no reports of any charges filed. Officials said that the driver cooperated with law enforcement.
