Female Driver Killed in Tulare 2-Vehicle Crash
Tulare, CA (October 19, 2023) – A 10-year-old child was injured following a Tulare Avenue fatal vehicle collision Wednesday morning.
Visalia CHP officers responded to the two-vehicle crash at ab out 7:50 a.m. at the intersection with Enterprise Street.
Investigating officers said a 73-year-old Tulare woman was driving a northbound Saturn on Enterprise Street and was entering the intersection at Tulare Avenue.
At the same time, a 16-year-old Visalia female was driving an eastbound Jeep on Tulare Avenue and approaching the intersection at around 55 mph.
The 73-year-old Saturn driver did not yield for the stop sign and pulled out in front of the Jeep.
As a result, the Jeep crashed into the driver’s side of the Saturn.
Officers declared the 73-year-old woman deceased at the scene while a 10-year-old was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
All passengers were wearing seatbelts when the collision happened. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a role in this accident.
Officers are investigated.
