10 Hurt after Inglewood Bus Crash on Manchester Avenue
INGLEWOOD, CA (September 26, 2019) – Nine kids and a man sustained injuries after a Los Angeles Unified School District school bus crashed on Manchester Avenue on September 25.
Police arrived to west Manchester and South Van Ness avenues at about 7:30 a.m. after reports of a three-vehicle crash, according to reports. Two vehicles appeared to have collided with the bus on the left-hand side of the road. After that a third vehicle stuck the bus on the driver’s side of the car.
More than 50 children were on the bus at the time of the crash. Video from the scene shows police and firefighters examining a large group of children sitting on a nearby sidewalk.
An adult in one of the cars and nine children on the school bus suffered minor injuries. As a result, paramedics transported all the victims to an area hospital, said Sean Rios, a spokesman with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
