Woman Injured in a Crash on 91 Freeway Near Cherry Ave
Long Beach, CA (April 4, 2020) – California Highway Patrol reported a car crash near Cherry Ave in Long Beach that left one woman injured on April 1.
On Wednesday morning, CHP responded immediately to the scene at about 1:21 a.m. on the 91 Freeway by Cherry Avenue.
According to the report, a semi-trailer truck was driving along the freeway.
Then, the big rig slammed into a disabled BMW, causing the woman driving the vehicle to be stuck inside.
The authorities thus assisted the trapped woman in exiting the SUV without causing any additional damage.
Afterward, the woman was assessed, and personnel found that she acquired serious wounds in the crash.
She was then transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
The investigation of the crash on the 91 Freeway is still in progress.
