Asotin Plane Collision Results in Injuries
Asotin, WA (March 18, 2024) – Two people were injured following a plane crash near Asotin Sunday.
The incident happened on at around noon on March 17.
Crews from Lewiston Fire Department, Asotin County Fire District 1, and the City of Asotin responded to the crash scene 30 miles south of Asotin.
Investigators said the plane clipped a power line and crashed into the river.
Immediately, boaters near the crash scene rescued the pilot and passenger from the water and took them to a nearby beach.
One of the patients was airlifted by a Life Flight helicopter and the other was transported to the hospital by a ground ambulance.
