Rollover Crash in Carlsbad Kills 16-Year-Old Passenger, Injures 7
San Diego, CA (June 24, 2020) – On Wednesday, at around 2:20 am, a rollover crash killed a teenager and injured seven others in Carlsbad.
The single-vehicle crash involved a Southern California SUV, and it occurred at about 35 miles (56 kilometers) north of downtown San Diego.
Moreover, Police spokeswoman Jodee Reyes said there were eight teens in the Toyota 4Runner when the accident happened.
Apparently, the vehicle rolled over many times before it came to rest on its side.
One teen, age 16, died at the scene, while the medics team rushed the seven others to area hospitals.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident.
We at Sweet Lawyers extend our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased in this crash. May you find strength during this painful time.
Who to Turn to in Case of Road Accidents
While driving is essential for many in order to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous activities performed daily.
As a matter of fact, auto accidents are a major public health threat. They are also a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
As common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a car crash.
“I think the misconception is that when a loved one passes away, the insurance company and the defendant will automatically admit liability and offer all of the funds available.”
“Insurance companies will try to save money, even if it means not fully compensating a family for the wrongful death of a loved one. When a family retains an attorney immediately, it gives the family time to grieve their loss, and their attorney can start focusing on holding the negligent party accountable,” says Tyler Toomey, a seasoned attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
