1 Hospitalized after Renton Pedestrian Accident
RENTON, WA (March 23, 2020) – On Friday afternoon, a person sustained life-threatening injuries following a pedestrian accident on Sunset Boulevard.
The officers and medics came to the hit-and-run crash scene near the Sunset View Apartments in the 2100 block of Sunset Boulevard, at around 3:20 p.m.
They responded upon receiving reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car which fled the scene.
Responders took the pedestrian to the hospital with critical injuries. Other details about the victim remain unavailable as of this time.
Meanwhile, the suspect vehicle is still being searched for. However, the police believe that the vehicle was a Saab in color navy blue.
The Continued Investigation
According to reports, the car’s side mirror was torn off by the crash and was left at the scene. Authorities also believe that the vehicle sustained damage on the front and passenger side.
The authorities shut down the eastbound lanes of the roadway during the investigation. The closed roads have since reopened.
