1 Hospitalized after Woodland Pedestrian Accident near Horseshoe Lake
WOODLAND, WA (February 5, 2020) – Sunday evening, an unidentified person sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident near Horseshoe Lake.
On February 2, a vehicle struck a young male pedestrian who stepped into the road in all black clothing just after 7:30 p.m., near Horseshoe Lake in Woodland.
Responders took the injured pedestrian to a local hospital for further treatment. In addition, medics say the male victim was listed in serious condition.
Authorities later described the victim as between the ages of 18-24 years old, around 6-foot 2-inches tall with medium brown hair. Moreover, the driver did not receive any citations and detectives ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash.
As a result of the collision, the surrounding area near Horseshoe Lake was closed during the initial investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened.
Authorities are also urging any witnesses to call them with additional information.
