1 Hospitalized after Santa Ynez Motorcycle Accident on Refugio Road

 
SANTA YNEZ, CA (November 26, 2019) – A person sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Refugio Road on November 24.
 
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the motorcycle accident occurred on the 1900 block of North Refugio Road at about 12:32 p.m.
 
Meanwhile, the male driver in his 20s sustained critical injuries after crashing into a horse trailer that was being towed.
 
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department revealed that two motorcyclists rode down a driveway. When they reached Refugio Road, a truck pulling a horse trailer pulled out to turn and one of the riders got hit.
 
Reports revealed that the driver didn’t feel the crash and continued driving for a mile before finding out the damage to his truck.
 
Upon realizing the damages, the truck driver drove back to the crash scene and helped with the police. A helicopter transported the motorcyclist who ran into the horse trailer to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the truck driver and the second motorcyclist did not suffer any injuries. However, CHP Buellton is investigating the crash.
