DUI Driver Arrested after Head-On Collision near Inyo Street
FRESNO, CA (January 12, 2019) – A man was seriously injured Saturday evening following a DUI crash on East California Avenue. The identity of the victim was not immediately released to the public.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened near Inyo Street, at about 6:00 PM. A truck was traveling eastbound when it suddenly swerved head-on into a westbound white-colored Mustang.
The driver of the Mustang suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The victim was in stable condition Saturday night, as per reports.
Meanwhile, the unidentified driver of the truck was evaluated by police and later arrested on suspicion of felony DUI. It was also confirmed that the alleged drunken driver had a suspended license. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
