Fatality Reported in Los Angeles Multi-Vehicle Accident on 110 Freeway and 91 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 2, 2021) – Monday morning, a person died in a wrong-way crash on 110 Freeway and 91 Freeway.
The authorities received a report of the fatal crash around 12:40 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened on southbound 110 Freeway near 91 Freeway.
Meanwhile, a witness revealed that a sedan headed north in the southbound number 3 lane before the collision. It could be the cause for one vehicle to overturn.
Also, the authorities said that the incident involved several vehicles.
Meanwhile, a news videographer stated that firefighters freed a woman in an SUV. Then, they took her to a hospital. Officers also said that a wrong-way driver caused the collision.
As a result of the crash, the CHP closed all southbound lanes and blocked the Redondo Beach Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound Harbor Freeway. However, by 3:00 a.m., they reopened Lanes 1 and 2. Meanwhile, lanes 3, 4, 5, and 6 remained unavailable.
