1 Dead in San Diego Crash on 5 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 7, 2020) – Sunday night, a person died in a truck accident on 5 the Freeway in Barrio Logan.
The crash occurred just after 9:30 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway and Cesar E. Chavez Parkway North. According to reports, a driver crashed into a bridge pillar, fell into an embankment, and caught fire. As a result, a person died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the police revealed that the bridge pillar didn’t sustain any damages. However, the CHP dispatched CHP to inspect it.
Furthermore, the authorities shut down lanes 3 and 4 in the area until 11:46 p.m.
