JAMUL, CA (December 26, 2021) – Saturday night, a person died in a pursuit crash on Otay Lakes Road.
 
The incident began with a failure-to-yield incident on Otay Lakes Road at around 6:04 p.m. According to reports, a California Border Patrol pursuit ended with the vehicle crashing head-on with a tree.
 
Meanwhile, reports confirmed that the crash ejected three people from the car. Responders declared one person dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the other ejected two people who sustained minor injuries.
 
Also, the crash led to the closure of Otay Lakes Road in both directions for multiple hours.
