1 Dead and 3 Injured in Tempe Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 60 near Priest Drive
TEMPE, AZ (November 9, 2021) – Monday afternoon, a person died in a multi-vehicle accident on US 60 near Priest Drive.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that the crash involved several vehicles.
According to reports, a Kia Sorento crashed into the median wall head-on and overturned. Then, some debris landed on a Tesla vehicle before a pickup truck crashed into both vehicles.
As a result, a woman in her 70s, a passenger of the Kia vehicle, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the Kia driver sustained life-threatening injuries. Also, two other parties sustained minor injuries.
Furthermore, the incident led to the closure of the westbound lanes of US 60 at Mill Avenue.
All roads have since reopened.
