1 Dead in Santa Ana Multi-Vehicle Accident on N Grand Avenue
SANTA ANA, CA (September 25, 2022) – Saturday morning, a person died in a hit-and-run crash on N Grand Avenue.
The incident occurred at about 5:31 a.m. in the area of 1300 N Grand Avenue.
According to reports, multiple vehicles crashed and one of the occupants was ejected and laying on the road.
Officers from the Santa Ana Police Department and members of the Orange County Fire Authority came to the scene.
Upon their arrival, they found a woman down in the intersection. Then, responders took her to a local trauma center in critical condition. However, they later declared her dead at the hospital. At this time, her identity remained undisclosed.

Meanwhile, reports revealed that the victim occupied an eastbound vehicle on Santa Ana Boulevard. As they traveled toward the intersection, the vehicle failed to yield at a red light.
Then, it crashed into another southbound vehicle on Grand Avenue.
At least one person inside her vehicle and possibly more escaped on foot.
At this time, they haven’t clarified whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
Meanwhile, the other driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
“Video evidence showed multiple vehicles at the intersection at the time of the collision, and it is believed there may be additional witnesses,” police said in a statement.
