One Injured in Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Lake Samish [Bellingham, WA]

BELLINGHAM, WA (March 11, 2019) – A person sustained injuries after a semi rolled on 5 Freeway near Lake Samish in Whatcom Count on March 8.
 
The semi hauled a load of plastic window panes when it collided on 5 Freeway at around 3:00 a.m.
 
As a result of the collision, southbound lanes were shut down for around seven hours during the clearing up operation. Meanwhile, state troopers came to the scene.
 
According to WSP, a person suffered injuries in the collision.
 
The incident led to a long backup during the freeway’s shut down.
