Traffic Delays Occur after Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101
Newbury Park, CA (May 7, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 slowed traffic and left one person injured on Thursday afternoon.
The Newbury Park collision took place on May 6 on Highway 101 near Wendy Drive at about 4:14 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, they responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles with one person still inside the vehicle.
An ambulance arrived at the scene to transport the victim to a local hospital for treatments. However, the severity of the injuries sustained was unknown, and there has been no update with the victim’s current condition.
CHP reported that the extent of the collision blocked at least one lane of freeway traffic, thus causing delays.
Furthermore, authorities reported heavy traffic along southbound Highway 101 after the Conejo Grade.
