Fatal DUI Palmdale Accident on Avenue S and 47th Street

 
PALMDALE, CA (April 28, 2021) – On Tuesday night, a driver died in a multi-vehicle DUI crash on Avenue S and 47th Street.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue S and 47th Street.
 
Reports revealed that the crash involved seven vehicles. Moreover, a Nissan and a Mercedes-Benz sustained extensive damage.
 
Later reports alleged a drunk driver in a Honda S2000 ran a red light, colliding into a Mercedes E320.
 
This caused a chain reaction crash, wherein four additional vehicles stopped at the red light became entangled into the accident.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, the Mercedes driver, described as a Hispanic male, died at the scene.
 
The Los Angeles County Fire Department also reported that paramedics took the Honda driver to a local hospital. The state of his injuries is unknown.
 
Moreover, the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the DUI crash.
