1 Killed in Los Angeles Vehicle Accident on 51st Street and Vermont Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 7, 2021) – On Friday night, a person died in a crash on 51st Street and Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles, California.
According to Los Angeles Police Department, authorities responded to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of 51st Street and Vermont Avenue at around 7:30 p.m.
Furthermore, responders pronounced a person dead at the scene.
Moreover, a group of 15-20 gang members recognized a person involved in the first crash as a member of a rival gang. The group of gang members removed the person out of the vehicle and was assaulted.
Moments later, additional officers responded to the scene to diffuse the fight.
Meanwhile, as officers investigate the first crash, another gang-related fight broke out. According to officers, a person being assaulted by a group of gang members jumped into a car to flee the scene. In the process of driving away, the vehicle struck another vehicle, at least two people, and an LAPD officer.
Also, the victims struck by the vehicle sustained no serious injuries in the crash.
