1 Pedestrian Injured in Crash on Avocado Avenue and Washington avenue [El Cajon, CA]

1 Struck by Vehicle on Avocado Avenue and Washington Avenue

 
El Cajon, CA (June 28, 2020) – On Thursday, at about 11 p.m., 1 person was injured in a pedestrian crash between Avocado Avenue and Washington Avenue in El Cajon.
 
Preliminary reports determined a vehicle was traveling southbound on Avocado Avenue. Then, it passed through the intersection at Washington Avenue where it struck the victim on the roadway.
 
Yet, it is still unknown if the victim was in a marked crosswalk when he was struck.
 
The victim was identified to be in his 50s and was hospitalized Friday morning in critical condition. He suffered from head and leg injuries as a result of the accident.
 
Meanwhile, alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash.
 
No arrest was immediately reported.
 
As always, cross only at intersections or street corners. It is best to cross between the white painted crosswalk lines.
