Single Car Crash on on SR-299 West of Oak Bottom Kills Man, Injures Woman
Redding, CA (June 26, 2020) – On Thursday, at around 12:24 a.m., one man died in a single car crash on SR-299, west of Oak Bottom.
California Highway Patrol said, a 2005 Toyota Tundra was moving eastbound on SR-299 before drifting to the right. Then, the driver lost control and overturned down a steep embankment.
Meanwhile, female passenger of the truck escaped the wreckage and got help from drivers on the road.
Immediately, emergency personnel arrived on scene and found the driver dead.
CHP is still investigating if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash.
