31-Year-Old Pronounced Dead and 2 Hurt after Bishop Car Accident
BISHOP, CA (March 9, 2020) – A passenger was killed while Tyler Nollen and Claudia Ramirez suffered injuries in a car accident on Highway 395 on Thursday.
The single-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 395 between Bishop and Toms Place. Dispatchers arrived near Lower Rock Creek Road after receiving multiple 911 calls in the area.
Nollen was driving a northbound 2013 Honda Civic on the highway at about 65 mph. There, he veered off the road and went airborne before landing on a dry creek bed nearby.
The wreckage trapped the three occupants of the crash. An unidentified 31-year-old passenger was declared dead on scene due to the impact of the collision.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Claudia Ramirez from Peru, and Nollen were both transported to Mammoth Lakes Hospital for further treatment of major injuries. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
CHP also revealed that some off-duty medics and paramedics came to the scene. The surrounding area was closed off during preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
