CHANDLER, AZ (September 20, 2021) – Friday night, a person died in a two-vehicle crash on Loop 202 near Kyrene Road.
 
The incident involving multiple vehicles occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on Loop 202 near Kyrene Road
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jacob Melki, the crash involved two vehicles. Melki said that it included a passenger car and an SUV. Then, he added that a woman died in the SUV. Also, Melki confirmed that the driver of the passenger car escaped from the scene. Thus, DPS continues to look for that person.
 
At this time, the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
