1 Dead in Bakersfield Car Collision on Highway 99

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 24, 2019) – A person died in a truck collision on Highway 99 on October 22 in Central Bakersfield.
 
The CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page revealed that the crash between a semi-truck and a box truck in the southbound lanes of Highway 99 at the transition road to eastbound Highway 58 occurred. They received reports of the collision at 10:50 p.m.
 
The incident led authorities to shut down the two outside lanes of southbound Highway 99 for hours.
 
The lanes have since reopened.
