1 Dead in Packwood Truck Collision
PACKWOOD, WA (October 17, 2019) – A person died in a truck collision on Highway 12 in the Packwood area on Friday, October 11.
Police did not release many details regarding the accident at this time. However, according to reports, the semi-truck driver died after a collision at around 7:28 p.m. at milepost 141 of the highway.
The identity of the deceased remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
The state patrol revealed that the red 2000 Freightliner truck tried to take the runaway truck ramp. The truck then went off the road and struck several trees.
Mechanical failure is the cause of the collision.
