Man Killed in Tragic Hit-and-Run Crash on Westheimer Road [Houston, TX]

Houston, TX (July 16, 2024) On Monday evening, a male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Westheimer Road.

According to Houston police, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash happened around 12:45 a.m. at the intersection with Dairy Ashford Road.

Reports say that an eastbound dark vehicle struck the man while the pedestrian was crossing the street on a crosswalk. Officials say that the suspect vehicle continued driving without stopping to render aid to the fallen man.

Medics rushed the victim to the hospital, where the man was pronounced dead.

Authorities are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.
