Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Interstate 10 in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (October 27, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, one person died in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 10.

The fatal three-vehicle crash in Phoenix happened before 2 a.m. on October 27 near 67th Avenue.

DPS said the collision involved two semi-trucks and a passenger car. 

Reportedly, the truck rear-ended the car, pushing that vehicle into another semi and trapping a person inside. The car then caught fire.

The driver of that car sustained fatal injuries.

Police arrested the driver of the semi-truck for suspicion of being impaired at the time of the crash.

No other injuries were reported.

Further investigation is ongoing.
