1 Dead and 1 Detained in Sonoma County Car Crash
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (April 6, 2020) – On April 2, a person died and another was arrested following an alleged DUI car crash on Highway 12.
According to the California Highway Patrol, they received a report of the car crash Thursday morning at around 7:30 a.m. on the State Highway 12 and Oakmont Drive intersection.
Reports revealed that 29-year-old Tanner Robinson was traveling in a tree-trimming truck towing a wood chipper east on Highway 12. However, he then drove past a red light and hit the left side of a blue Honda Civic.
As a result, the Honda driver died at the scene due to the impact. The identity of the deceased remains unreleased due to pendng family notification.
Meanwhile, the police arrested Tanner Robinson on suspicion of DUI. His bail is set to $100,000 pending a court appearance on Monday afternoon.
The Californa Highway Patrol is currently handling the ongoing investigation.
