Fatal Single-Car Rollover Crash on Magdalena Avenue in Chula Vista

 
Chula Vista, CA (August 30, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, one person died in a single-car rollover crash on Magdalena Avenue and Rock Mountain Road.
 
The incident happened at around 2:25 p.m. on August 29.
 
According to officers’ reports, they responded on the scene and discovered a car had rolled over after driving down an embankment.
 
The passenger was trapped underneath and could not be pulled free. Chula Vista Fire arrived and pulled the passenger, but they pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
 
The identity of the victim remains undisclosed. Further investigation is ongoing.
