1 Killed after Pedestrian Accident near Crenshaw Boulevard and 29th Street [Los Angeles, CA]

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 17, 2020) – A person sustained critical injuries Friday evening after a pedestrian accident near Crenshaw Boulevard.
 
Police received reports of a pedestrian who was struck near Crenshaw Boulevard and 29th Street around 8:00 p.m. However, the details leading up are currently unclear.
 
Later, the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that the driver stayed on scene of the accident near 29th Street.
 
Responders transported the unidentified victim to a nearby hospital via ambulance for further treatment. He was later listed in critical condition.
 
As a result of the impact, officials said the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
The surrounding area on Crenshaw Boulevard was closed off for a brief time while crews worked on scene.
