1 Dead in Long Beach Multi-Vehicle Accident
LONG BEACH, CA (January 17, 2019) – A person died in a multi-vehicle collision on 91 Freeway in Long Beach on January 15.
The incident led to the shutting down of westbound lanes for multiple hours. The CHP revealed that the crash was reported around 12:20 a.m. just east of the 710 Freeway interchange.
However, the identity of the deceased was not immediately known.
A SigAlert was made while the crews removed the damaged vehicles from blocking the lanes. At 4:30 a.m., the westbound side of the freeway was finally open.
The factors that cause the collision is still being investigated.
