Fatal Pittsburg Motorcycle Collision on E Leland Road

 
PITTSBURG, CA (October 20, 2020) – Friday morning, a person died in a motorcycle crash on E Leland Road in Pittsburg, California.
 
According to authorities, Pittsburg Police dispatched responders after a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle. The incident took place in the 800 block of E Leland Road at around 4:15 a.m.
 
When they arrived, responders found an unresponsive motorcyclist at the scene. Authorities administered life-saving efforts, including CPR until paramedics arrived.
 
Afterward, paramedics transported the injured motorcyclist to an area hospital. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the deceased remains unknown due to pending family notification.
 
Reports revealed that an eastbound motorcycle approaching the intersection with Piedmont Way collided with another vehicle.
 
The other driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
The incident is under the Traffic Division and the Fatal Accident Response Team’s investigation.
